Michael Jackson

Saturday on The Local Take on WCLK  I spoke with Broadway star Chester Gregory about his one-man show "The Eve of Jackie Wilson" and how it relates to Metro-Atlanta. Chester Gregory proclaims that Jackie Wilson(known as "Mr. Entertainment" at the height of his career) is one of the most influential Rock-n-Roll artist of the 20th Century.  "The Eve of Jackie Wilson" brings to life his last concert that took place in September of 1975. This was to be a "comeback" tour for Jackie Wilson.

Music legend—Quincy Jones—revealed in a recent GQ interview that he is working on several projects for his upcoming 85 birthday including a Netflix documentary, a ten-part TV biopic that he hopes will star Donald Glover (I can see that), and a star-studded TV special that will be hosted by Oprah Winfrey.  The 84-year-old entertainment icon is keeping busy these days with no plans of retiring…ever!
